I’m so into statement lips right now

Which basically means I have too many lip sticks.

But I can’t help it, I just really like lip sticks… bad excuse.

Anyway, I was looking for a fresh, but slightly darker berry tone with a little brownish touch to it. And the search was long, but last week I finally found the perfect color.
Going through MAC, shu uemura and the new Dior make up shop that opened in Omotesando Hills some days ago… – I couldn’t find the right tone.
On sunday, I went to Shibuya and remembered that there was an Emoda Cosmetics store inside one of the big departments around, and went to check it out – because Emoda has some great matte lip sticks, probably the biggest selection of matte tones I have seen so far.

And as I said, I found it! And with it, I picked up a new blush – because you know, I own like 20 lip sticks, but only 2 blushes, both of which are pink…

As for a little review: I am very happy with the lip stick. It is very rich in pigment and almost stains my lips, so the color lasts very long! The blush is wonderful as well! It’ s also very rich in pigment, lasts very long and is very easy to apply!

So glad you like EMODA cosmetics, I’ve only heard bad things about it but want to try some things! The color looks great on you! Yes statement lips are coming back for F/W! I’m soooo excited XD considering I usually have baby pink lips all year it’s nice to change it up!

i haven’t really heard any bad things yet, other than their copy cat design… which is really the only point that really bothers me – but so far I’ve only tried lip sticks, blush and nail polish and all were of great quality! The lip sticks are kind of hard, like lip crayons, and they stay on SO well!<3

& baby pink is never wrong! 😉 <3

Thanks for sharing! I hope you do more makeup reviews in the future. I worry every time I buy Japanese brands if they’ll complement my skin tone. I’m quite pale like you and I really want to buy a bronzer or something to help contour but I don’t even know where to start when I shop here.

Thank you! <3 & I am definitely planning to do more make up posts in the future, especially when I find something I really like!
And I understand you so well! For foundation and powders I learned, that any brand there is in the drugstore, even if the product looks light enough for my skin in the shop – it will be too dark…
I rarely contour my face (just because I'm really bad at it…), but I found that this powder by Etude House: http://www.etude.jp/face/cheek_highlight_color/102001112.html
in the lighter shade (#4 BE102)
      and this highlighter: http://www.etude.jp/face/cheek_highlight_color/102001024.html
      in #キューティーフェイス(PK001)
work quite well with my skin tone! Maybe give it a try? <3 I personally love Etude House!
