…but just a tiny little bit!
And it is really beautiful and gives a great effect!
I think you guessed it already, it was time for me to have my nails redone! Sadly my go-to salon March in Shinjuku is overflowing with reservations lately, so if you don’t book a week in advance, there’s no chance you can get an appointment – at least for weekends that is.
But because of that, I looked out for a different salon to go to. Whenever I look for a new beauty salon, I do so via Hot Pepper Beauty, which is a great salon register & they offer coupons too!
The salon I picked out for my appointment on Saturday, was AHR in Shinjuku (Website here). The salon was beautifully white and airy and the staff was really nice! My nailist was very skilled and friendly and I had a great time talking to her. They even seem to have English speaking staff too, so if you’re coming to Tokyo and up to try having fancy nails, this might be a good place to keep in mind.
As for my nails, I knew I wanted to have light pink, bordeaux red and gold, but I had no plan at all, so my nailist showed me a bunch of samples and I settled on a set from their monthly campaign which we changed slightly.
The flaky gold on some of my nails is real gold leave brushed on the nails right before top-coating them, and I am in love with the depth this process gives! & also because it is probably the most fancy thing I ever did to my nails!
