busy days call for simplicity.

by

And simplicity is so hard for me… More than half of my closet is full with kind of statement pieces…

But anyway, that’s not what I wanted to imply with that title.
A whole week without a post… I really thought I could handle blogging and working full-time well and it really seemed to work – until last week started. I haven’t been home before 10PM once – and that really had me question my priorities in life.

In terms of what I want to do in life, my No.1 priority had always been my art and I count my blog towards that, so this week really hit me hard. I’m still  trying to figure out how to change things, though – if everything goes well – I have one big change planned from next Spring! Anyway, until then I have to get up my bum and make some time for the things I like to do.

Anyway, besides not having enough time to prepare posts during the week, I still had a little time on the weekend to take #ootd’s! And this one is exactly one week old from last Saturday! It feels kind of weird to look at the pictures now, because I didn’t even need a coat last week, but today was just so freakishly cold, I wore a layer of Uniqlo heat tech beneath my clothes!

This is my favorite sweater dress by Maison Scotch! It’s sadly a little rare to find Scotch & Soda items in Japan, but whenever I am back in Hamburg I cannot leave without visiting the Scotch & Soda shop just off Neuer Wall. And I think I love it so much, because it’s one of the easiest pieces I own. It looks good as a mini sweater dress, or with trousers as a long pullover. And I just love the stitching on the shoulders ♥

We are so on the same page here. When I lived in the states (read: my mom’s house), I was able to work full-time and still devote about 15 hours a week to blogging, but only because I wasn’t cooking, cleaning, grocery shopping, etc. Now that I’ve moved out, I have to be a grown up and I’m lucky if I have 2 hours a week to devote to blogging! I, too, find myself posting photos that I took weeks earlier (you can always tell by my nails if I’m posting in chronological order or not)!

I know what you mean about what you want to do and such! I really hope that whatever you have in mind to do for this upcoming Spring works out!! I can’t wait to hear whatever news you have! ^_^ Your schedule sounds so tiring! I hope you can work out some kind of stability to handle it all!
