I am in…
I am currently at home in Hamburg, as my daddy turned 60 earlier this year and celebrated his 60.5 birthday with the whole family and all his friends. I can’t deny that I really miss Tokyo – especially since the temperatures here do not give off much of a Summer feel – but I am enjoying my time here with good food, lots of family time and a little travel too, as I’ll be off to Berlin for a few days soon!
I collected quite a few new things over the past month!
First of all, I couldn’t withstand the my curiosity any longer and placed an order at Kylie Cosmetics! Hearing all the goods and bads and the conspiracy theories around, I needed to test her liquid lipsticks for myself and to be honest, I was more than happy with the product and in my opinion the formula is one of the most long-lasting I have tried so far! I ordered Exposted, Koko K and Heir, but I am sure in for more!
I also finally got a hold of Dior’s Sideral shades in black – one of the many pairs of glasses on my wishlist! I first tried them on this Spring and it was love at the first glance in the mirror, my very first pair of non-circular sunglasses!
Then I quite spontaneously decided it was time for new shoes. No, not just any pair of shoes, a pair of Stuart Weitzman’s NEARLYNUDE! I’ve never worn such a comfortable sandal before so I was sold in a second and they quickly climbed up to be my most worn shoes of the moment!
Also, my sister presented me with the cutest delicate necklace I own now – a silver love necklace ♥
Place to be!
I have two Hamburg recommendations for you this time! I’ve only been here for a few days but already had time to check out a few places high on my list – which I mostly curate by scrolling through #hashtags on Instagram!
…is a super cute cafe in the middle of Altona, Hamburg’s west, and is specialised in the manufacture of macarons! You know how much I love macarons and so does my dear friend Jeni, so she sent me a little box of incredibly delicious macarons over for my birthday in March. She told me the shop she ordered them from was actually in Hamburg and the macarons had me hooked with the first bite!
Chanel Beauté Boutique in Hamburg
Apparently the first of it’s kind in Germany, the Chanel Beauty Boutique here in Hamburg is a city specific shop for all of Chanel’s beauty range from fragrances over make up products to their highly praised skin care selection! I couldn’t resist the Duo Contour and Blush compact #1 from the new Dans La Lumiere de L’Ete summer 2016 collection! The staff was incredibly helpful and surprised us with a few little goodies when handing us our shopping bags!
I decided to quit my studies at Bunka Fashion College – but only to re-enrol at BFGU, Bunka Fashion Graduate University to pursue my Master’s degree in Fashion Design and Creative Direction. A few weeks ago my tutor came to me and asked why I didn’t enrol in the Master’s program right away, considering I already have a Bachelor’s on my belt, being on top of my class. I thought about this a lot and after participating in an information session at the school – which conveniently is part of the big Bunka campus I am at now, I decided that with the knowledge I gained up to this point, I shouldn’t have any problems being accepted into the program. So let’s see how it will go, entrance exams and interviews will start in December for me!
