Travel Diary: Berlin | 3 Must-go Places for You!

by

Berlin!
Since my sister recently moved in with her boyfriend in Berlin and basically almost all of my friends back in Germany live in or around Berlin, it was only obvious I was going to visit Germany’s capital for a few days during my trip home this Summer.

I did quite a few fun things while in Berlin, but I edited it down to the highlights and my three favorite spots I would like to share with you!

FOOD: Distrikt Coffee
A super stylish cafe in the middle of Berlin. They offer a modern cuisine until 16:00 and me and my friends were just on time to have a late lunch with Avocado and Beets Toast, Buttermilk Pancakes and Acai Bowls. The staff was super friendly and helpful and the kitchen was able to cater to all our requests! I can’t wait to be back in Berlin to try a few more things on their menu – next time I’ll make sure to go in the morning, the whole cafe seemed to be the perfect place for a relaxed breakfast or brunch!

SNACK: Cookies and Cream
When my friends and I made our way to the Mauerpark on Sunday at noon, we were greeted by great weather and knew it was time for a cone of ice cream to go! Just when the thought hit us, we found a ourselves right in front of Cookies and Cream! They definitely had a deliciously good-looking selection of homemade ice cream that was hard to resist!
Now that I think about it, I should definitely have tried one of their cookies together with my ice cream, but this way I already have a reason to come back!

SHOP: Macy’s First Class Second Hand
Located in a back street to luxurious Kurfurstendamm in the heart of Berlin’s high fashion quarters, Macy’s specialises in branded vintage and second hand goods and clothes and is a popular stop for fashionistas and treasure hunters alike. I was swiped off my feet by the large selection of clothes, shoes, bags and goods, ranging from a few seasons back to off-the-runway current season! Definitely worth a visit on your next Berlin trip – I already know I will be back for sure and not just because of their cute shop-guard, the sometimes loud, sometimes cuddly dog Romeo!

I only brought comfy and relaxed clothes to Berlin. To me the fashion there is so much more laid back than in Hamburg, where everyone seems to be a little more posh and a little less hip(ster).

      Hi Diana,
Thank you so much for your comment!
It was my first ice-cream of the year too, the weather just didn’t cope very well, but really super delicious! ♥
