…where did September go? Like, I mean, it was just there?
Describing September in three words: fast, wet, busy.
Apparently it rained more in September than in all of this years rain season – you can guess how dark and depressing the month was.
Because of the rain, I didn’t get a chance to get out and shoot for the blog at all, and the sparse days it didn’t rain were either weekdays with crazy schedules or my photographer/boyfriend was busy – hence the blogging absence. I tried keeping you guys up to date on my Instagram, but lately I seem to have incredibly bad reach over there – but that’s a theme for a whole different blog post.
As I told you in last months update, I made it into the finals of this year’s YKK Fastening Awards! I’m getting more nervous from day to day as the finals will be held on Thursday, only two days from today! If anybody is interested in going to the actual event, the awards show will be held on October 6. from 17:30 at the YKK60 Building! Let me know, I will give you the exact address!
But there is more!
I have some more fashion contest news! I made it into the next round of the JFA Fur Design Contest and Shinjuku Fashion Field Contest! And on top of that, me and two friends are also part of a Denim Form Presentation by JFW Japan Creation with a mini collection! I am so grateful for all the opportunities to showcase my works and I am 120% sure that fashion design was the right choice for me!
I am preparing myself for Fall, and as every time when another season rolls around, I am zero prepared for a weather change. The one thing I needed in my closet was a transition jacket, so I ordered this Vintage Camo Jacket from NA-KD along with this Beige High-Neck Knit and this Lace Bra. I think camouflage items are always a good choice for Autumn and the color scheme usually goes with whatever you have in your wardrobe! The lace bra was something I wanted to add to my closet for a long time, but I just couldn’t find the perfect one – until I looked through NA-KD’s awesome collection of lacy, barely there bras. It looks really cute under white V-neck shirts or knits with the lace showing out just a tiny bit!
Me and my friend Elise also finally placed another order at Kylie Cosmetics! This time I got Candy K and Posie K, two colors from the very beginning, but Elise got Maliboo and Dolce K and I’m kind of intrigued! Also, have you seen the new October colors? Berry something? And also how beautiful is Love Bite?! I might have to order more quite soon!
Kylie’s Lip Kits definitely have become my favorite lip products right now, I only rarely find myself switching to something different, because the color just stays on so incredibly well and my lips don’t feel dry at all! ♥
And lastly something sweet, I tried the Blonde Salad Macaron at Laduree, a strawberry vanilla mix and was gifted this incredibly cute macaron box featuring the Blonde Salad Collection’s iconic eye! Super delicious – what else to expect from Ladurée? – and super inspiring, Chiara Ferragni never fails to amaze me with her seemingly endless power and motivation!
Where to eat?
Mr Farmer is a restaurant with great healthy options, also catering to gluten free, vegetarian and vegan food restrictions! Their focus is to deliver fresh and locally sourced ingredients and they offer a huge selection of delicious salads, sandwiches, smoothies and juices. With my busy schedule right now, I always find myself in one of their three shops around Tokyo.
Pariya & BBW is part record shop, part fashion boutique and part ice-cream parlor! Recently this has been my quick fix when I needed something sweet to light up the day on my way home, while looking through the newest trends paired with good music! It is located just next to the South Exit of Shinjuku Station inside Lumine2, so super easy to reach!
The ice-cream is incredibly delicious and my two favorite flavours are Premium Chocolate and Tiramisu – yes, I like the creamy flavours!
I hope this blog gets a little more attention from me for the next month!
